So, this past Saturday I was busy implementing the edits I was given on my last manuscript. My urges to see all of the things and do all of the things would not allow me to do that in the silence of my empty apartment. So, what do I do? I just completed watching Community in its entirety. Californication hasn't had a new episode in a while. I'm caught up on practically every show I watch. Naturally, it was time to find a new show.
I immediately went to Netflix where I heard there was a new Netflix original series that David Fincher had helped develop. If you know me, you'd know I am a Fincher enthusiast (Seven, Zodiac, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Social Network--HELL YEAH), so seeing him direct Kevin Spacey in a political drama was right up my alley. Enter House of Cards, a drama starring Spacey, Kate Mara, and Kristen Connolly from Cabin in the Woods. It is drenched in betrayal, sex, more betrayal, and a top of the line performance from its main star. If you have Netflix, I would suggest you watch it as soon as you can. All 13 first season episodes were uploaded on Feb. 1st. Hopefully with an increased level of viewership, Netflix will not only produce another season but more series carrying the same amounts of power. 5/5
